Proud Participants in Operation Hire: Maryland's 100 Day Veteran Hiring Challange

July 4th is an exciting time of the year; it's a time for cookouts with friends and family. Many people dress up in patriotic colors and honor our freedom with parades and fireworks. While these are fun ways to celebrate, it is important to remember the veterans and active duty military that fight to keep our freedom every day!

1st Mariner Bank’s Recruitment Division has put a large focus on hiring more veterans in 2014 and are making great strides to meet these goals. The Maryland Department of Veteran Affairs has put out a challenge to employers in the State of Maryland called Operation Hire: Maryland’s 100 Day Veteran Hiring Challenge.

The focus of Operation Hire is to increase veteran hiring in Maryland. The Maryland Department of Veterans Affairs is challenging employers to either expand or create veteran hiring initiates within their companies. 1st Mariner Bank’s Recruitment Division is proud to participate in this challenge and will continue to make great strides toward hiring more veterans.
